In the third season, it is revealed that following a meeting at a tropical bar with the Umbrella siblings, Sir Reginald Hargreeves chose to adopt a new set of children in 1989, dubbing them The Sparrow Academy. Sloane is one of these children, designated as a member of this new team. The Sparrows have ousted the Umbrellas in the present timeline. Sloane quickly falls in love with Luther Hargreeves, the former Number One of the Umbrella Academy. Shortly after they meet, Luther proposes to Sloane and she accepts. The Kugelblitz, created after the Umbrellas arrived in the present, expands, swallowing a majority of the world and forcing the Umbrellas and remaining Sparrows to take shelter at the Hotel Obsidian. While there, Luther and Sloane take the opportunity to get married in the time they have left and hold a lavish "wedding at the end of the world." When Reginald proposes the idea to go into Hotel Obsidian for one final mission, Luther and Sloane refuse, citing their desire to spend their last moments together. In retaliation, Reginald kills Luther. After the world is reset, Luther returns to life but finds that Sloane is missing.

The air shimmered around her, distorting the streetlights into streaks of neon blue. Sloane closed her eyes, feeling the familiar lurch in her stomach as space folded inward. One moment she stood beneath the rain-slicked awning of a diner; the next, the scent of ozone and old paper filled her nose. She materialized inside the safehouse, boots hitting the floorboards with a soft thud. Five was waiting, his eyes scanning the room before locking onto hers. No words were needed between them, only the shared understanding that time was running out.
